Santa Cruz County is asking artists to submit proposals for a mural or mosaic to enhance a restroom building to be installed next year.
The permanent restroom will be placed at Hidden Beach Park at 660 Cliff Drive in Aptos, to replace the only available portable toilet currently at the beach.
Funding for the restroom comes from a grant from the Coastal Conservancy.
Artists can find more information about how to make a proposal here.
The budget for the public art project is $11,500. Proposals must be coastal-themed. The deadline is Nov. 8.
