Kids who have never seen a tap-dancing Christmas tree or visited with the Snow Queen can get their chance through Monday at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland.
“Fairy Winterland,” a special holiday event at the children’s storybook theme park on the shores of Lake Merritt, started Thursday and continues through Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The nearly 20-year-old annual event features candlemaking, a wishing wall, storytellers, puppet shows, music and winter tales from around the world, hot cocoa and cider.
Children’s Fairyland is located at 699 Bellevue Ave. Tickets for the Fairy Winterland event can be purchased on the website.
