The Southern Marin Fire Protection District will be reducing flammable vegetation and improving access for emergency vehicles in Sausalito and Mill Valley starting on or around Monday, fire officials said.
Work includes pruning trees to maintain emergency vehicle access 15 feet vertically from the roads’ edge, removing flammable and encroaching vegetation from the roadsides and sidewalks, evaluating designated parking spots and maintenance on fire hydrants and marking dead or dying trees for removal with an orange flag.
The following streets are scheduled for vegetation maintenance starting on or around Monday in Sausalito:
- Atwood Ave
- Booker Ave
- Bulkley Ave
- Cable Roadway
- Central Ave
- Channing Way
- Cloudview Cir
- Cloudview Rd
- Crescent Ave
The following streets are scheduled for vegetation maintenance starting on or around Monday in Mill Valley:
- Blithedale Terr
- Corte Madera Ave
- Cottage Ave
- Cushing Dr
- Eldridge Ave
- King St
- Lee St
- Marsh Dr
- Melody Ln
- Quarry Rd
- W. Blithedale
- Tamalpais Ave
