A local emergency proclamation was approved by the Napa County Board of Supervisors this week following heavy rainfall and damage from a storm on Feb. 4.

The atmospheric river dumped heavy rain throughout the county and caused flooding, landslides, fallen trees and damaged roads and bridges, according to a statement from the county.

The Board of Supervisors allocated $9.5 million to repair multiple roads and cleanup operations. The emergency proclamation will help the county recoup some costs from the state and federal government.

Damage was sustained on Redwood Road, Rossi Road at Conn Creek, and Ridgecrest Drive.

Cleanup operations to clear debris and small landslide blockages will take place at Soda Canyon Road, Langtry Road, and Mount Veeder Road.

Storm debris will also be cleared from Berryessa Knoxville Road and several areas of Mount Veeder Road.
