The Auditor-Controller’s Office of San Joaquin County has introduced a new whistleblower and fraud reporting hotline, the county announced.
The hotline will enable county employees and the general public to report suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of county resources.
Ethics Point, a third-party service, powers the new reporting system and guarantees complete confidentiality and anonymity for those who file reports.
The provider will handle the initial intake of the submitted reports before forwarding them to the Auditor-Controller’s Internal Audit Division. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the report may be shared with other county departments or outside agencies.
Reports can be submitted online at any time of the day or by calling (833) 718-4549.
