Nominations open Monday in Sonoma County for various special district offices, the county said.
The open seats are as follows:
- Two four-year seats with the Occidental Community Services District
- Two four-year seats and one two-year seat with the Monte Rio Recreation and Park District
- Two four-year seats and one two-year seat with the Russian River Recreation and Park District
- Two four-year seats with the Russian River County Water District
- Two four-year seats with the Sonoma Mountain County Water District
- Three four-year seats with the Timber Cove County Water District
Registered voters who are interested in running for any of these seats must file nomination papers by Aug. 8 at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa.
