The owner of a junk removal business has been cited after some of the junk he removed allegedly found its way onto an orchard property in rural San Joaquin County.

Sheriff’s deputies said the owner of Dusty D’s Junk Removal, Damion Pursley, admitted to trashing waste at a private property on June 9.

The Sheriff’s Office said a resident had witnessed a junk removal truck illegally dumping debris onto his property near state Highway 26 and North Murray Road in Linden, east of Stockton, without permission.

The resident took photos of the vehicle and was able to provide deputies with suspect information.

According to deputies, illegal trash dumping is a growing problem within the county and a serious safety hazard.

Anyone who witnesses others taking part in illegal dumping is asked to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 209-468-4400.
