Caltrain’s fully electric trains will carry their first New Year’s Eve passengers for free.
The trains, which debuted in September, will be free starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Caltrain said in a press release.
SF Muni will provide additional post-fireworks service to Caltrain’s San Francisco Station at 4th and King streets, Caltrain said.
Caltrain will offer additional southbound trains after the fireworks show, departing from San Francisco at 1 a.m., 1:30 a.m. or when full, and 2 a.m., making all local stops to San Jose Diridon.
Caltrain will operate on a regular weekend schedule on Wednesday.
